What Are We Drinking: Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Region: California

ABV: 13.8%

Cost: $12

Pair With: I paired this wine chicken pizza and pasta w/roasted vegetables

Color/Appearance: deep ruby

Dry/Sweet/Body: dry; full bodied

Balance/ Acidity/Finish: Balanced in flavor, high in tannins, low acidity with a soft finish

Aromas: blackberry, plum, toasted oak

Taste/Description: I have always been attracted to this label due to the artwork. All of the bottles feature damn good artistry. For this wine I should’ve broke out the decanter but I was too lazy to do it. This wine was a good, I have had it for a couple years just sitting in the cupboard. On the tongue you get rich flavors of blackberry and plum. I enjoyed this Cab the only way I can enjoy a good red wine; with pizza (with alfredo sauce, I can’t eat tomatoes) and pasta. Always a good combination.
