Herbal:  Nutmeg Essential Oil

Properties: analgesic, anti-infectious, antiseptic, calmative, carminative, digestive, nervine, sedative, spasmolytic

Therapeutic Uses:  digestive issues, rheumatism, arthritis, muscle aches and pains, muscle injury, PMS, insomnia, restlessness, nervousness, tension

Blends Well With:  basil, bay, bergamot, cardamom, clary sage, coriander seed, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, jasmine, lemon, lemongrass, lime, mandarin, sweet marjoram, neroli, sweet orange, petitgrain, rose absolute, ylang ylang

Ways to Use Nutmeg Essential Oil

Air Freshener: diffuse two drops of nutmeg essential oil into an essential oil diffuser.

Colds & Flu:  Add 2 drops of nutmeg essential oil to 1 tsp of coconut oil and massage into the chest area.

Constipation:  Mix 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil, massage into abdomen in clockwise direction.

Coughing:  Add two drops of nutmeg essential oil to an essential oil diffuser OR Mix 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp coconut oil, massage into chest.

Diarrhea:  Mix 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil, massage into abdomen in clockwise direction.

Digestion:  Mix 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil, massage into abdomen in clockwise direction.

Fatigue:  Diffuse two drops of nutmeg essential oil in an essential oil diffuser.

Indigestion:  Mix 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil, massage into abdomen in clockwise direction

Joint Pain:  Blend 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of grapeseed oil, massage into area of concern.

Menstrual Cramps:  Blend 2 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp grapeseed oil, massage into the lower abdomen in a clockwise direction.

Muscle Ache & Pains:  Mix 4 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil, massage into sore muscles.

Muscle Cramps:  Mix 4 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tbsp of grapeseed oil, massage into affected muscles.

Poor Appetite:  Mix 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil, massage into abdomen in clockwise direction

Poor Circulation:  Mix 3 drops with 1 tbsp of coconut oil, add to a warm bath. OR Mix 2 drops with 1 tsp coconut oil, massage into feet.

Rheumatism:  Blend 3 drops of nutmeg essential oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil, massage into affected area.
