Governor’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017

What Are We Drinking: Governor’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Pair With: Grilled Chicken or Seafood

ABV: 12.5%

Cost: $12.99

Description: This wine is from Marlborough, New Zealand, an area that is very popular for their Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Light greenish yellow in color. On the nose, citrus and tropical fruit notes. On the tongue, gooseberry, passionfruit and ripe melon.

This light bodied wine is crisp with a dry lemon finish. When chilled, the citrus notes are refreshing and crisp. @Winespectator gave it 88/100 points. Bottle states it should be consumed within a year of purchase.

My Rating: 90/100
