What Are We Drinking: The Original Dark Horse Sauvignon Blanc 2017

ABV: 13%

Cost: $9.79

Pair With: chicken, pork, hard cheese

Description: This wine label is headed by Beth Liston, a winemaker who wants to break the stereotype that wines under $10 are low value and quality. Medium yellow in color, this Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. On the palate this wine is light in body with high acidity. Fruit notes of pink grapefruit and tropical fruit. Excellent bright citrus flavor with a crisp, vibrant finish. I enjoyed this wine a lot, it’s crispness reminds me of the great Sauvignon Blanc’s I have tried from New Zealand. Definitely want to add this wine to “To Try” list.
