Description: One of the first wine labels I tried when beginning my wine journey some years back, Yellowtail is made in Yenda, a small town in Australia. Yellowtail’s motto is similar to the purpose of my blog. To make wine drinking fun, easy to understand and easy to drink. Light greenish yellow in color, after swirling this wine in my glass, I was greeted with notes of passionfruit and grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is dry and with a light to medium feel in body. On the tongue, you get notes of green apple, pear and citrus notes. This wine is good but not as great as it seems to be missing something I can’t quite put my finger on. I had higher expectations in regards to crispness and citrus flavors. It’s not a bad wine to enjoy but if you’ve had other Sauvignon Blanc under $10 especially, this wine is okay. Enjoy chilled.
