What Are We Drinking: Spier Rose 2017

ABV: 13.5%

Cost: $9.99

Pair With: seafood salad, scallops, lobster

Description: This rose is a product of South Africa made from 68% Chardonnay grapes and 32% Pinot Noir. Medium copper in color, this wine is light to medium in body with a short, crisp and balanced finish. Drinks smoothly. On the nose, you get aromas of strawberry and yellow apple. On the tongue, the taste of fresh, ripe strawberries and watermelon. I have been drinking rose again since last year and I am finding that my favorite wines are made from Pinot Noir grapes.
