Summary: If you’ve followed my blog long enough than you know when it comes to Moscato, your girl is not the biggest fan. In the past I had tried Moscato by Barefoot and Beringer Main and Vine and both of these labels were too sweet. I have since tried a Moscato from Martha Stewart Wines so I decided to try some from Naked Wines. I was not disappointed at all. David Akiyoshi is a great wine maker and I’ve never had a bad experience.
This wine is made with Muscat Canili grapes from Clarksburg and from what I have read, this grape can get pricey.
On the nose, aromas of floral notes and orange blossoms. On the palate this wine is light bodied with solid fruit flavors of citrus, honeysuckle, sweet pears with an effervescent and crisp finish. I really liked this Moscato which is something I rarely say about Moscato at all. Enjoy chilled post meal.
