Before we get into the amazing uses of this flower, let’s go over some basic GUIDELINES as these will apply to any herb you work with:
*Prior to starting an herbal regimen, speak with a licensed *physician.
*Herbal medicines (sometimes called supplements) come in flower, capsules, tinctures and essential oils.
*Essential oils SHOULD NEVER BE INGESTED.
*Essential oils should be mixed with a carrier oil and tested on a small patch of skin to test for allergic reactions.
*Carrier oils: Coconut, almond, grapeseed, apricot, and hemp. (There are others, do your research for a complete list).
*ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE UNSURE.
*The herbal market isn’t licensed by the FDA, making research necessary. Research and ask for lab results etc. making sure the products you use are safe for you, your family, and community.

Eczema
Migraine
Abdominal pain

The four conditions listed above can be treated by placing three to five drops of lavender essential oil per TEASPOON of carrier oil can be placed into an oil safe container (usually a 1 oz or 2 oz glass dropper bottle), shake well and massage into affected areas.

Nervousness
Prepare a cup of lavender tea to soothe the nerves, or
mix .75ml of LAVENDER TINCTURE to 8oz of water and drink. This way usually works the fastest for me.
Blends Well With: Eucalyptus, chamomile, ginger or lemongrass.
When I ran my online aromatherapy shop, I made candles and herbal blends for purchase. I will share my “Migraine” formula. I love it because it’s easy to make and easy to take with you on the go:
Demejo’s Migraine Rollerball
6 drops of lavender essential oil
6 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
6 drops of peppermint oil
1 30ml glass roller ball
Grapeseed oil
Optional:
Lavender flowers (just a few buds)
Peppermint leaf (half a leaf)
Place the essential oils, grapeseed carrier oil and if you want to use lavender flower and peppermint leaves, crush those and place all ingredients in a rollerball bottle and shake well.
Apply to nape of neck, behind the ears and both temples.
For an extra cooling sensation, keep refrigerated until ready for use.
When it comes to botanicals (flowers), Starwest Botanicals is a brand I have used and trusted for most of my herbal needs. You can purchase their organic lavender flower here.
