How to Use Essential Oils for Allergies

Its literally no one’s favorite time of the year. Itchy, watery, and red eyes. Scratchy throat. Burning sinuses. No, you don’t have a cold or unknown virus, that’s just allergy season making its Spring  return.

If you’re anything like me, you enjoyed the sneeze free days while they lasted but what do we do now? Here’s a few recipes to get you started. 

Allergy Rollerball (For respiratory relief)

8 drops Lemon Essential Oil

8 drops Lavender Essential Oil

8 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Carrier oil, to fill

Add essential oils to a 1/3-ounce glass roll-on bottle and top with carrier oil. Shake gently to blend and label. Use the roll on to apply massage oil to your temples and back of the neck.

Pollen Relief Rollerball

6 drops Chamomile Essential Oil

6 drops Cypress Essential Oil

5 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

6 drop Lavender Essential Oil

Carrier oil, to fill

Add essential oils to a 1/3-ounce glass roll-on bottle and top with carrier oil. Shake gently to blend and label. Use the roll on to apply massage oil to your temples and back of the neck.

Purifying Citrus Diffuser (for allergies, colds, respiratory)

30 drops Lemon Essential Oil

8 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil

8 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Add all the essential oils to a dark glass essential oil bottle, gently swirl to blend. Remember to label.

Add 10 drops to essential oil diffuser and diffuse in 60-minute increments (60minutes on/then 60 minutes off).

Allergy Season Diffuser

30 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil

15 drops Lemon Essential Oil

10 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Add all the essential oils to a dark glass essential oil bottle, gently swirl to blend. Remember to label.

Add 10 drops to essential oil diffuser and diffuse in 60-minute increments (60minutes on/then 60 minutes off).

Clean Air Diffuser Blend

Makes around ½ ounce

¾ tsp Eucalyptus Essential Oil

1 tsp Cinnamon Essential Oil

¼ tsp Clove Bud Essential Oil

¾ tsp Lemon Essential Oil

¼ tsp Rosemary Essential Oil

Add all the essential oils to a dark glass essential oil bottle, gently swirl to blend. Remember to label.

Add 10 drops to essential oil diffuser and diffuse in 30-minute increments (30 minutes on/then 30 minutes off).

Immune Boost Diffuser Blend

20 drops Orange Essential Oil

20 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil

20 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil

20 drops Clove Essential Oil

Immune Support Diffuser Blend

20 drops Lemon Essential Oil

20 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil

10 drops Clove Essential Oil

10 drops Lime Essential Oil

10 drops Rosemary Essential Oil

Add all the essential oils to a dark glass essential oil bottle, gently swirl to blend. Remember to label.

Add 10 drops to essential oil diffuser and diffuse in 45-minute increments (45 minutes on/then 45 minutes off).

Another Way to Diffuse Your Essential Oils

Another way you can diffuse essential oils is by using an air purifier. Most air purifiers come with a well for you to place a few drops of your favorite essential oil blend and diffuse all day long if you’d like. Here, is an air purifier I own, of course I got it from the place that sells everything.
